SUMMER FUN!

Along with all of our social groups offerings and art experiences we have some new Summer group offerings:
Picture

           "Acting Out"

Twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays
(July 26 – August 18)

Middle School – entering grades 5-8 Sept 2022       Tuesdays & Thursdays           3:30 – 4:30pm

High School – entering grades 9-12 Sept 2022         Tuesdays & Thursdays           5:00 – 6:00pm

Actors must think like the character they are portraying and react according to the thoughts and feelings of their character and the other characters. Having empathy and the ability to understand what others are thinking and feeling in real-life social interactions require the very same skills. This group will provide opportunities for developing and practicing perspective taking, empathy, and self-expression in a really fun way! The bulk of our time together will involve playing acting and improv games. We will work in some discussion of real-life applications of these skills and role-playing of common social scenarios. Hope you will join in the Action!

Coming Soon …

Dates: TBA (late August/early September)
Participants of “Acting Out” summer groups will have the opportunity to sign up for this workshop extension at the end of the summer, which will involve 2 rehearsals and a performance. More coming soon on this.
