The Whole Child, Inc., Center for Social Emotional Learning and Empowerment, is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization designed to be a community resource for children ages 3-18 and their families. Our mission is to support the healthy (physical, social, behavioral and cognitive) development of children and to empower their families through education, coaching, opportunity and consultation. We work to achieve this by promoting an understanding of child development, educating and empowering parents so as to be effective advocates for their children, and providing high quality services designed to target developmental goals for children in multiple domains. Our services support children who present as neuro-typical, as well as children with overtly uneven cognitive profiles. We involve parents in the learning process through service observations, parent-ups and consults. We will support children with learning difficulties, organizational struggles, emotional needs, sensory and/or regulation difficulties, social skill deficits, ADHD, high functioning ASD, just to name a few. We are dedicated to helping families every way we can, including custom designing programs or services to meet the individual needs of specific children, and teaching strategies for dealing with or overcoming life-affecting difficulties.
Providing high quality programming at a low cost to families is no easy equation to balance, but we are working hard to do this so as to serve our families best. The Whole Child became an incorporated in MA in October 2016, and received our 501(c)(3) status in December 2017. Our service providers are passionate about helping children and families, highly skilled in their domain, and able to provide benefits to children and families that are invaluable. We are just beginning our fundraising efforts and soon to be able to offer scholarships and financial support to families seeking our services.
