Jessica Fugere, RBT
Lead Social Coach, Executive Function Coach, Academic Tutor, Administrative Support
Hello everyone! I am Miss Jessica, a former high school math teacher for the last 15 years. I taught at an all-inclusive, private school, and as such, have also been a mentor, social coach, and counselor to many students. The school I taught for was a Pre-K through 12th grade school, and as such, I have been able to be around all ages and subject matters. I was often told by parents that I had a talent for implementing unique teaching strategies to effectively engage all learning abilities and foster a fun, learning environment. I also coordinated student group activities to enhance peer learning as well as solidify STEM concepts through hands-on activities. I integrated a holistic learning approach to our school a few years back so that we could satisfy all learning abilities in one class period successfully. Besides teaching math, I taught many organizational classes, Geography, some of the sciences, and some elective courses (mainly focusing on Life Skills, Social Strategies, and Community Peer Services). I am also CPR & First Aid Certified. I resigned from teaching in Spring, 2020 to focus on obtaining my RBT Certificate to become an ABA, as well as venture into many other courses (and, hopefully, further degrees, especially my BCBA). In working with some ASD clients, I have provided behavioral treatment, parent training, and worked closely with their Clinical Supervisors to support treatment programming one-on-one. I also tutor virtually and in person with TWC in Middle school & High school math and science courses. I loved teaching, but found such a bigger passion in working in smaller groups as we would focus on life skills, the future, organizational skills, and many other aspects of living a positive, prosperous social life.
