Executive Functioning Boost Groups
Co-ed kids & tween (age 9 or entering grade 4 or older) group Thursdays 3:30 – 4:30pm
Teen Girls (age 13 or entering grade 7 and older) group Thursdays 5:00 – 6:00pm
Teen Boys (age 13 or entering grade 7 or older) group Thursdays 6:15 – 7:15pm
THESE GROUPS ARE 5 WEEKS LONG! July 18-August 15, $187.00 due by July 1
Facilitator: Michelle Simpson, LMHC, EF & Social Coach
Find yourself always running short on time, being late for important things, or simply feeling like tasks are going to take FOREVER to finish? Do you find that you often forget needed materials or miss key details? Or that you complete school work but somehow it never gets to the teacher and you miss out on points or credit? Do you get frustrated that everyday tasks seem to take up all your time or are a struggle? Sick of being prompted over and over again for the same things? YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
This group will give you (and your brain) some tools to better experience the passage of time, a way to “rehearse” and correct time/space errors, and strategies to remember details so you can follow things through to completion and beyond. There will be some “homework” to do in between weekly sessions, mostly in the form of taking and printing pictures to bring to group. We can even help you design a manageable plan for getting summer reading assignments done!
